Fuzzi Bunz - The Name You Know and Trust in Pocket-Style Reusable Diapers
The Mother of Eden Story
Necessity is the mother of all invention. Necessity is what led Tereson Dupuy, founder and CEO of Mother of Eden, to invent the Fuzzi Bunz pocket diapering system. Tereson invented Fuzzi Bunz pocket diapers in January 1999 in response to her four-month old son, Eden's, chronic diaper rash. The disposable diapers contained chemicals that inflamed her son's diaper rash. The cloth diapers on the market were clunky, old-fashioned, hard-to-clean and did not keep her son dry and rash free. She faced the challenge of inventing a product that would keep her baby dry, be easy to clean and care for, prevent leaks as good as or better than disposables, and still be more economical than disposables and other cloth diaper options. She was looking for a real diapering option to fit her modern lifestyle.
After an exhaustive search, Tereson developed her own diapering system by hand-stitching diapers in her home. The diapers she invented worked and she decided to share her unique invention with mothers around the world who were also disenchanted with the available diapering options. Within one year, Mother of Eden and the Fuzzi Bunz diaper empire were born.
Mother of Eden first introduced the new fleece pocket diaper product to a community of mothers on the Internet who were already using cloth diapers. One customer turned into two, two into four and the customer base continued to multiply from that point on. On June 17, 2003, Tereson was officially and legally granted a patent for pocket diaper invention.
Today, Mother of Eden makes several eco-friendly products, including reusable wipes, menstrual and nursing pads, and washable diaper pails. However, Fuzzi Bunz diapers continue to be Mother of Eden’s top-selling product, having gained incredible popularity among cloth diaper users. In fact, loyal Fuzzi Bunz users have made Fuzzi Bunz their top pocket diaper choice and Fuzzi Bunz continues to be widely popular among new moms. Even celebrities such as Anna Belknap, Angela Bassett, Diane Farr and Brad Paisley and Kimberly Williams are proclaimed Fuzzi Bunz fans.
Because of this popularity, Mother of Eden has experienced rapid physical and financial growth since its modest beginnings in Tereson's home. Mother of Eden is a multi-million dollar company with annual sales exceeding $2,500,000.
